Publish Queue
Table of Contents
Objective
This guide explains how to use the Publish Queue in Cascade CMS to track the status of publish jobs — including content that is scheduled, pending, failed, or completed.
When to Use This Process
Use this guide when you need to:
Monitor the status of a publish request
Confirm if content has successfully published
Troubleshoot publish issues
Understand the timing of scheduled publishes
Before You Start
You must be logged in to Cascade CMS
You have submitted at least one publish job
You want to check status, success, or errors of the publish operation
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Access the Publish Queue
Navigate to the Publish Queue from the top toolbar.
While in a site, the Publish Queue will appear in the hamburger menu (☰).
Click Publish Queue to open the list of current and recent publish jobs.
Step 2: Review Publish Jobs
In the Publish Queue, you will see a list of publish jobs, each with the following details:
Name of the asset publishing or queued to publish
User who initiated the publish
Date and time added to queue
% Done
Step 3: Take Action on Publish Jobs
Depending on status and your permissions, you may be able to:
Cancel a pending or in-progress job
Select a job from the list, using the radio button on the far left.
Click the Delete button (trash can).
Reorder jobs in the Publish Queue
Select a job from the list and use the arrow buttons to move it up or down in the queue.
You can also drag-and-drop publish jobs into position in the list. In-progress publish jobs can't be reordered.
Best Practices
✔ Check the Publish Queue after submitting large or multi-destination publish jobs
✔ Always confirm that linked assets (images, PDFs) are published before the page
✔ Use staging publishes first for review before final production publishing
