What is a Profile Image?

Upload the Profile Image

To upload a profile image:

1. In the Site Content tree on the left, click on the _assets-profiles folder. Inside your division/department folder (e.g. acad-comm) select the images folder or a subfolder within the images folder.

Select a folder by hovering over the asset name and clicking on the arrow that appears to the right of the asset name. The contents of that folder will display on the right hand side of the page.

2. Look for a red plus sign in the topmost header area of the page, and click on Add Content.

3. Inside the People Assets folder, select Add Profile Image from the dropdown menu.

4. Drag and drop an image from somewhere on your computer into the browser window, or choose one from your computer. The File Name will automatically populate with the file name previously given to the image. Fill in the Alternative Text.

The purpose of Alternative Text is to provide a description of the contents of an image file. One of the most common uses of Alternative Text is to provide text for visitors who can't see images in their browsers.

5. Click Preview Draft. After previewing the draft, click Submit to save these changes to the CMS.

6. You should now Publish the image. Click on the Publish tab. Select one or more of the outputs to Publish to the destinations selected.
