Full Width Autoplay Video

The video size is generally 1920x1080. It will be centered on the page the safe area will be 210px from the top and bottom. The width will be the full width of the video.

Video Specs

  • Video should be created at 1920x1080, but the visual safe area is outside the top and bottom margin which is 210px. This means the middle 660px of the the video is the video-safe region.

  • 1080p/720p H.264 video

  • Maximum video size should target 10-15MB

  • Format: (.mp4, Ogg Vorbis, WebM) you need to upload 3 different formats to make sure video works on all browsers.

  • Horizontal video as opposed to cellphone vertical oriented videos

  • 5-10 sec video Max

  • No audio (Interview videos are discouraged)

  • Stable camera work. Static shots preferred or very slow pans and transitions

  • If the video is edited footage, prefer if edits were minimal. Quick cuts on a video background is usually disorienting

  • Don’t end the video with ‘fade to black,’
